The El Niño / ENSO Climate Driver Explained

Australia’s climate is influenced by a number of modifiers/climate drivers, the most well-known of which is El Niño/La Nina.

This lecture will first introduce you to Australia’s broad climate pattern and then show how this is modified by a number of “climate drivers” such as IOD, SAM and, of course, El Niño.

The lecture will be presented in a non-technical, well-illustrated format aimed at increasing your understanding of modern climatology and give you the ability to impress (or bore) your peer-group.

This talk will be presented by Tony Dare-Edwards at Mary Kidson Hall on Thursday 25th May from 10am to 12 noon.
