Kurrajong Recyclers

Have you looked in your yellow-lid bin recently? Not too many years ago, all household waste – food, bottles,
paper, grass clippings, electronics – ended up in one heavy bin. And off to the tip it went. Today we have many more options to recycle waste into new products.

Wagga’s beloved not-for-profit business, Kurrajong, does great work supporting people to develop their abilities. Kurrajong’s recycling business began with a paper drive in 1962, and today their skilled staff sort recyclables from across the Riverina. They sell to traders and manufacturers around Australia and overseas – all from your yellow-lid bin!

Come along to the Chaston St plant and see how Kurrajong makes it happen. (And learn how you can improve your recycling too!)

This course is presented by Margaret Sutherland. on 19 June from 1:30-3:30pm. Meeting place will be advised by email.
