John Flynn – The Man on the Twenty Dollar Note

John Flynn

This short course will provide an account of the vision and work of the Reverend John Flynn, – the man on the twenty dollar note – who while working as a minister for the Australian Inland Mission to bring medical aid and nursing facilities to the Australian Outback, went on to pioneer the world’s first aerial medical service, now known as the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The RFDS has been saving lives in rural and remote Australia for over 90 years and is the world’s largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisation.

This course will be presented by Ann Brewster in one session at Mary Kidson Hall on Thursday 10th November 10am-1pm.
