At the beginning each term, as most are settling in to the next set of enjoyable courses, it is time for me to look at our program for the following term – an on-going task for our Development Team.
Several members have kindly contacted me with ideas for courses/activities for the future. I thank them for offers and suggestions. We are always in need of more presenters, courses and activities.
Our U3A is following the concept that we do not pay our presenters. We value the skills, experience or knowledge that our members acquired during their working lives and believe that individuals within our numbers can present useful and interesting courses to our members.
If you have an interest, hobby or a subject that you would like to present to our members, I would welcome hearing from you. We offer assistance with the administration of your course/activity, with any technology/equipment that you might need or with presentation skills.
Some ideas suggested from our members are:
history subjects, any languages, chess, all types of art, music appreciation, other cultures/countries, wine group and dinner groups.
Help and support are available with your presentation if you wish.
